I am the MLB and Cardinals Synthesizer and owner of onthetopstep.com, where I post on baseball, sometimes with a coaching or autobiographical slant. I also post videos on baseball on YouTube, and read my written posts for the visually impaired on SoundCloud.

I played baseball through college and I have been a broadcaster and teacher. I’m interested in a dialogue with anyone who wishes to engage me on matters of the day.

I have learned a great deal about baseball–and other subjects–by reading the work of those in their respective industries and by communicating with them. This project is an effort to collaborate with others who share my interests, and contribute to the discourses around baseball and its representations in media.
